Ordination

Sunday, April 18th I am being ordained into the Universal Brotherhood Movement as a result I will be able to solemnize wedding ceremonies. What a privilege it will be to create personalized weddings of all types for couples. Even though our state does not yet recognize same sex marrying I look forward to commitment ceremonies for those couples as well as couples who just want a ceremony without and actual legal bond.

Spring Bloom

Today was an absolute beauty sunshine a breeze and great plans. I started my day at Women Writing for a Change it's my first semester and it's been a valuable experience. Lunch with ladies from the writing group after
which I met Mark at Ault Park. The park is in full spring bloom daffodils all over and everything else is in bud. We had a sweet stroll and reminisced about coming there Mark as a teen and me as a child with my Dad and sibs. I stopped by a couple of my favorite used furniture stores and browsed. It's rare for me to take a Tuesday off and I could get used to this. Tonight my online class is about Men's & Women's Passages ...Wise Women/Crone ceremony or a Men's Midlife ceremony. We're still juicy through midlife and have a lot to offer.I'm planning my own wise women/crone ceremony to mark my mid fifties and have been asked to do a friend's.

Hello All and Welcome,

Hello my name is Terry Pharo and I'm embarking on a new journey. Throughout the past several decades I always felt that a shift was coming later in my life and it has. I just needed times to change and technology to develop and it did.

Don't you love modern technology? I do, it has enhanced my life in so many ways. I have a baby laptop that I lovingly refer to as my appendage and am an avid surfer. When the economy shifted I needed to find an additional income stream so naturally I turned to the web. Being my age and stage of life I decided to review past dreams and ways to express my passion? My passion is the freedom and healing that can come from taking the time to honor a passage or a painful experience that has affected our life through ceremonies.

In my personal life I've been blessed to experience and participate in a variety of ceremonies and each and every one was healing to one degree or another.

I strongly believe in the benefits of ceremonies and rituals throughout our lives. In our society today that grounding has diminished and has lost it's impact. I researched ceremonies in the USA and found a school that specializes in training people to officiate a broad range of ritual ceremonies. The school is called Celebrant Foundation & Institute and is located in Montclair, NJ. It's roots are in Australia some 30+ years ago and began in North America in 2001. As a result I've been in school on-line since September of 2009.

I'm so excited I found a school to fill all my needs. I was gathering info through various resources to develop ceremonies to honor all aspects of life which would have taken me years. Now in May I'll have my certificate and can get started.

My certificates will be in Weddings and Family Ceremonies and I'll be licensed to perform weddings in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.

As time goes on I'll post information about all types of personalized ceremonies.

In Peace,

Terry
